Week 2 - welcome back!
Wow! What a fantastic start for the children in Cherry Class. They have been working incredibly hard on forming 3-digit numbers using dienes, digit cards and place value grids. The children have worked collaboratively to create 3 digit numbers for their working partner and have then used different manipulatives to represent these numbers.
We started our history unit 'Through the Ages' by exploring artefacts from the Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age. We discussed the meaning of 'prehistory' and the children made interactive timelines to show the progression from Palaeolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic times. We look forward to updating you with our history learning over the next few weeks...it even involves cave painting!
